Dr. Flores successfully defended his dissertation on “The Puente Project: Validation and Cultural Wealth Capital and Empowering Chicano/a Leadership Identity in Inclusive Academic Spaces.” His dissertation explored the lived experiences of what the Puente Project does at the secondary level in inside and outside of classroom spaces to increase the cultural wealth capital of Chicano/a students through validating acts.
